Discovery session for young people from LGBT community who have care experience
The Independent Care Review is inviting young people from the LGBT community to have their voices heard and help create a lasting legacy of change for the future of care in Scotland.
1000 Voices project based at Who Cares? Scotland are hosting a discovery session on behalf of the Review where members of the care experienced LGBT community will have the opportunity to share their thoughts in a safe, fun, and creative way.
Date: Monday 13th November
Start time: 6.30pm – food and drinks will be available from 6pm.
End time: 8.30pm
Venue: Who Cares Scotland National Office, 5 Oswald Street Glasgow, G1 4QR
For more information please contact the 1000 Voices team 1000voices@whocaresscotland.org
As part of a small group, there will be the chance to talk about experiences and listen to other young people, though if you prefer, the chance to chat one-to-one will also be available. It’s important that anyone taking part feels comfortable, and it’s absolutely fine to bring someone along for support.
If you can’t attend or would prefer to contact the Review by phone or email you can opt for either of these ways to share your views on what the vision and scope should be.
Please complete this online form before 6th of November to let us know how you want to be involved.
We hope you will be involved with the Review throughout its duration so there will also be further opportunities to take part in the next stage – Journey.
