Statement on the Kilbrandon Again report
The Independent Care Review welcomes the findings of the Kilbrandon Again report and acknowledges that much of what is contained in the report resonates with the issues that the Review is considering in depth.
From January 2019, the Independent Care Review will assume responsibility for the forward-looking work previously being considered by the Secure Care Strategic Board and the learning from Kilbrandon Again will be considered in this remit.
It is heartening that Kilbrandon Again approach reflects the views of young people and their families – only by doing so can real and lasting change be made.
