Creating trauma-informed policy from Health, Education, Care and Justice

The ‘ACEs to Assets Conference’ was held on 11 June 2019 in Glasgow, drawing an audience of nearly 2000 members of the public keen to explore actions that can be taken to prevent and heal the impacts of childhood trauma.

This film is a Panel Discussion with leading voices in four different sectors: Health, Education, Care & Justice.

Professor Sir Harry Burns was previously Scotland’s Chief Medical Officer (2005-2014). Nicky Murray is Headteacher at Burnside Primary School, which won the Scottish Education Award 2019 for Health and Wellbeing. Fiona Duncan heads the Care Review, which aims to put love at the heart of care. Karyn McCluskey is CEO of Community Justice Scotland and was, prior to that post, Co-Founder of the well-known Scottish Violence Reduction Unit in 2005.
